The Mother Series was born out of a deep & complicated grief from losing my mother in 2024 and a curiosity of life after death within nature. I saw so many parallels between Mothers and Nurse Logs and found some healing in wandering trails and exploring the intersection of these two entities.
I’ve always had a tendency to wander
Whether it is in my mind or my feet, when the conjunction of those two meandering entities find the need for a dirt road or trail, I’ll see you when it gets dark. With this funny little compulsion comes the need to express what I feel when roaming and observing a landscape, a tree, a sky that settling into dusk. And most of the time, paint and art gives me that outlet.
